The PXI Systems Alliance, in cooperation with Acqiris and ADLINK Technology Inc, has developed a seminar that explains the advantages of the PXI architecture and synthetic instrumentation, especially when applied to high-speed digitizers. Many new PXI products have been developed that take advantage of the PXI architecture and bring high-performance test to this compact, low cost architecture.

PXI is a high-performance, low-cost platform for test & measurement, data acquisition and automation systems. Manufacturing Test (e.g. Aerospace, Automotive, Military, Telecom, and Consumer Electronics) and Industrial Test and Automation are the main applications for PXI today. Providing many features and supporting highly modular test systems incorporating various test tools, PXI is very suitable for a manufacturing test station that includes Functional Test, Boundary Scan Test, and other capabilities.

With the development of Synthetic instrumentation for the testing of high-frequency and RF devices and components, the selection of system components from specified performances can become a mine-field. This webcast outlines the benefits of synthetic instrumentation when performing tests that require high-frequency, high-resolution signal acquisition, and provides an explanation of how the latest technology behind synthetic instruments can be used for the replacement of a combination of standard stand-alone instruments. The subject of module selection from published specifications and how to select the right module for any given application will also be discussed.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions concerning their applications at the end of the presentation.

Attend this web seminar to learn about:
  • what is Synthetic Instrumentation?
  • what is the advantage when compared to conventional instrumentation?
  • what are the overall benefits of such a test solution?
  • how do you select the right high-speed digitizer from published specifications?
  • what is the advantage of PXI when using Synthetic Instruments?
