With an autorun and improved Wizard installer, installation is an easy, 3-step process completed in just 3 minutes. Users simply follow the screen prompts. The Windows installer detects the Windows version used*, looks for older versions of the installed software, checks for compatibility and missing components. More experienced PC users are able to perform a fully customized installation. * Acqiris supports the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 98/NT4.0/2000/XP, Linux and VxWorks Step 1 - Insert CD-ROM in PC When inserted, it automatically opens a window with a menu. To install the software, the user simply clicks on the appropriate choice and begins a hassle-free, step-by-step installation of the software. Step 2 - Install hardware The user merely needs to turn off the PC, identify a free slot (PCI or CompactPCI) and insert the digitizer card. Step 3 - Reboot PC Under Windows 95/98/2000/XP*, the Plug & Play system will automatically detect the Acqiris hardware when started the first time, and briefly display a "New Hardware Found" dialog box before automatically installing the new hardware. * For other operating systems, please refer to the User Manual. |
